Philippians 2:14-16a

Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life.

It was a stressful and frustrating day at work today. And through my stress and frustration I complained and argued, which were the roots of my gossip about the person who caused my stress and frustration! Complaining and arguing lead to gossip, which lead to anger and judgment, all of which is exactly what this crooked and depraved generation feed off of. And through all those things this crooked and depraved generation will put fault on you, which dims your light. And in the book of Philippians, Paul doesn't say, "Oh yeah you should shine as stars." No, the Word says that in which you shine like stars in the universe. Assuming that we are already shining like stars for His glory! We must be ever so careful how we handle our life situations on a daily basis, because this crooked and depraved generation is watching our every move!

Instead of sinning through our frustration - which is oh so easy to do, we should obey Philippians Chapter 2 and "do everything without complaining or arguing so that [we] may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which [we] shine like stars in the universe as [we] hold out the word of life!"

Funny how far a bit of stress and frustration can go, isn't it?!?!
